本作は、パンデミックの最中に行われたライブツアーの集大成をスタジオでパッケージ化したもの。メンバーによるオリジナル5曲に加え、菊地雅章、ニック・ドレイク、ポール・モチアンの楽曲を収録。アナログマスターテープに刻まれた豊かな倍音と、最新のハイレゾデジタル技術をハイブリッドに融合させた。CDアルバムから厳選された7曲をLP用に再リマスタリング。アナログならではの温かみと高解像度な解像感を両立し、演奏の極めて細やかなニュアンスまでをも捉えた、オーディオファイルも納得のこだわりの一枚。

Named after the mysterious flower that releases its seeds when scorched by fire, the Banksia Trio—a powerhouse of the contemporary Tokyo jazz scene—presents their long-awaited third album, "MASKS," now available in a limited vinyl edition.

This album serves as the studio culmination of a tour performed during the height of the pandemic. For this LP release, seven tracks were meticulously selected from the original CD and remastered specifically for vinyl. The tracklist features five original compositions by the trio, alongside reinterpretations of works by Masabumi Kikuchi, Nick Drake, and Paul Motian.

The recording is a masterclass in sonic texture, blending the organic richness of analog master tapes with high-resolution digital technology. This hybrid approach captures every subtle inflection and natural nuance of the performance, delivering a deeply immersive listening experience.
